World Bank considers E-Health Project's implementation in Mongolia

AKIPRESS.COM - health-wb Minister of Health of Mongolia Ayush Tsogtsetseg received yesterday the World Bank's Country Manager for Mongolia, James Anderson, and the senior economist in the World Bank's East Asia and Pacific Human Development Unit, Aparnaa Somanathan.

During the meeting, Anderson briefed about the World Bank’s ongoing mission for assessing implementation of the E-Health Project in Mongolia.

Tsogtsetseg underlined that her Ministry highly recognizes an importance of the E-Health Project and advised to focus more on its coherence with other similar projects.

Somanathan said the site visit to local healthcare centers and family hospitals helped obtain current data and detect main problems, including operation of medical equipment, IT system and information sharing between and within healthcare organizations.

The Mongolian Minister promised to support the E-Health Project's implementation by all possible means.
